Most organised activities held on council land require an event permit to make sure they meet safety requirements, avoid clashes with other activities and comply with local laws and regulations. Find out more on our Planning an outdoor event on council land page.
There is limited parking and public transport access at Canterbury train station, which is across the road from the gardens.
Our staff check the historic rotunda every Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings to remove litter, debris and hazards and report any damage or graffiti.
We aim to keep our facilities in pristine condition. However, as they are open to the elements and public access, we can’t guarantee that your facility will be free from damage.
We recommend that a member of your party does a last-minute check before your booking is due to start.
Read our terms and conditions of hire and parks, gardens and open spaces special conditions.
If a vendor is supplying any equipment, they need to provide public liability insurance.
